Welcome to Sur Academy of Music and Arts! We're excited to embark on this musical journey with you. To ensure a smooth and enriching learning experience for everyone, please take note of the following rules and regulations:
I. Class Schedule & Attendance:
- Weekly Classes: Classes are held on a weekly basis for the duration options of 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour. Please arrive on time and be prepared to start promptly.
- Absences: In case of a missed class, please notify at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to adjust the lesson schedule and plan accordingly.
- Late Arrivals: Consistent tardiness disrupts the class schedule. If you are running late, please inform as soon as possible. Repeated late arrivals may affect your progress.
- Make-up Lessons: Make-up lessons are offered depending on the schedule availability. It has to be scheduled within a week of the missed class.
- Cancellations: In rare instances when there is a need to cancel a class, students will be notified in advance, and make-up lessons will be scheduled based on availability.
II. Payment Schedule:
- Tuition: The tuition fees for the classes are collected in advance for 4 classes combined.
- Payment Methods: We accept payments via Credit/Debit cards, Apple pay, cash, Zelle.
- Late Payment Fee: A late payment fee of $5/class will be applied if more than 4 class fees are due.
- Refunds: Refunds are only provided based on the assessment of the request.
III. Class Conduct:
- Respect: Respecting the process and the teacher is extremely important for an exciting learning progress.
- Preparation: Come to class prepared with all necessary materials, including your instrument.
- Practice: Regular practice is essential for progress. Students are encouraged to practice on a regular basis between the lessons.
- Electronic Devices: Please silence or turn off cell phones and other electronic devices during class time, unless specifically needed for the lesson.
IV. Instrument Care:
- Responsibility: Students are responsible for the care and maintenance of their own instruments.
- Storage: Instruments should be stored safely and securely when not in use.
V. Communication:
- Contact: The best way to contact is via email or text or whatsapp message.
- Feedback: We encourage open communication. Please feel free to discuss any concerns or suggestions.
VI. Performance Opportunities, Recitals:
Sur Academy of Music and Arts provides opportunities for recitals and performances based on the progress and availability. Any such instances will be discussed well in advance to prepare and rehearse. There will be certificates handed out to participate in such programs.
